Introducing Katy Walsh, our new Marketing Lead

Like many student stories, Katy’s working career began with a stint in a small shop, a means to an end while navigating university life. But beneath the surface, a passion for marketing, communication, and strategy started brewing, setting the stage for a dynamic career in marketing.

Katy’s journey took a defining turn when she landed a role as a Junior Marketing Executive at Shimmer, a tech startup specializing in wearable sensors. It was her first real deep dive into the fast-moving tech world—where strategy met creativity—and the thrill of seeing her work deliver tangible results hooked her instantly. Since then, she’s built a career driven by growth and learning, from leading Marketing and Communications at uniqFEED in the live sports industry to her next exciting chapter at amazee.io.

Why amazee.io? For Katy, it was the opportunity to grow into new markets, collaborate with a seasoned global team, and be part of something bigger—where her contributions directly shape the company’s success while advancing her skills.

Katy brings a unique blend of creativity and data-driven marketing to the company. When Katy snaps her laptop lid shut, she swaps pixels for physical activity, such as hitting the gym, running, and embracing seasonal outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, and swimming. But it's not all adrenaline-fueled pursuits. Katy also enjoys unwinding with a good book, particularly Stephen King's works, or indulging her creativity by writing short stories.
