Here at amazee.io, our love of innovation is well known. That’s why we’re excited to speak again at New Zealand Techweek2021. As usual, the lineup for Techweek is stellar, and we’re ready to celebrate all the fresh ideas and advancements coming from the NZ tech community. (We’re also proud to be sharing some insights and innovations of our own!)
Here’s what the amazee.io team has in store for you this year:
Hear Sean Hamlin, a Technical Account Manager at amazee.io, discuss dealing with an unprecedented scale during COVID-19 and the 80x traffic increase experienced over the last few months by some of the health-related sites that we host. This talk concerns dealing with this traffic scaling and how to survive it.
Some of the things that will be discussed:
The talk is aimed at anyone with performance in mind, and there'll be plenty of time for Q&A.
Date: Tuesday, 25th May 2021
Time: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm NZST
There are many great reasons to host your web applications on Kubernetes, except that Kubernetes is really hard! Come join Toby Bellwood, Product Lead at amazee.io, as he outlines how the Lagoon team has removed most of the complexity from the process, enabling web developers to focus on web development, and not maintaining build systems. Get an understanding of the production-ready scalable architecture and an insight into Lagoon's completely open source development process.
Date: Wednesday, 26th May 2021
Time: 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm NZST
Come and see the first and only open source container hosting solution in action!
Lagoon’s open source and cloud-native components are tailored to accelerate and streamline application development and delivery, allowing development teams to deploy their applications into Kubernetes without the steep learning curve.
Join Thom Toogood, Head of Services for amazee.io, for a hands-on demo of developing a Silverstripe project on Lagoon. We'll go from creating a new project to deploying it on a production cluster, covering the development process along the way.
The talk will finish with a question and answer session for anyone interested in more information.
Date: Friday, 28th May 2021
Time: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm NZST
We’ll see you at Techweek2021!
