Meet our new Platform Engineer – Brittany Mitchell

Brittany feels like she’s had the best day at work when she’s made a breakthrough or new discovery. She also likes when she’s able to easily navigate a CLI tool’s usage instructions. Although Brittany started as an electronics engineer, she quickly moved into the platform engineering path and enjoys it. 

One of the things she’s most proud of in her career is the ability to quickly and easily pick up the configuration and maintenance tasks required to help set up new platforms for developers. She also enjoys helping developers of different languages build out their test and deployment pipelines in a reasonable timeline. 

She’s looking forward to starting at amazee.io and learning about WebOps through hands-on learning, and she’s also very excited to make contributions and updates to amazee.io’s systems. She’s looking forward to working on a globally distributed team, and she hopes to get to know her global co-workers well, both near and far from her. 

When Brittany isn’t working, she lives to be outside. Since her job has her indoors at a desk most of the time, she takes every opportunity she can to get out and walk, or even look for historic architecture when there’s time.
