Chris’s journey to software development hasn’t always been straightforward, but he’s had some interesting experiences along the way. In school, he actually first studied criminology before transitioning into the IT sector, where he worked in different roles like IT analyst, technical support specialist, and front-end developer for Nintendo. More recently, he worked as a junior software engineer at Lovelight.
In the last few years of his education and training, Chris has honed his problem-solving skills, which he considers a superpower for software engineers. Chris is able to approach complex problems from all angles and tries to see every angle before moving forward. He now looks forward to the opportunity to solve problems for his team and his clients.
Chris feels like he’s had a stellar workday when he’s contributed significantly to solving a problem for his team, or when he’s made a great contribution to a client. He loves learning, so learning new things in his daily work is a bonus he especially appreciates.
Chris is interested in growing more as a developer, and he’s particularly excited to learn all about WebOps. He’s an open source enthusiast, as well, so he’s excited to be working for an open source organization.
When Chris isn’t at his computer writing code or problem-solving, he does enjoy challenging himself in other ways - high-intensity training at the gym, gaming with friends, and tennis matches with his partner.
Welcome to the team, Chris!
