Taking A Project Public - The History of Lagoon

amazee.io recently celebrated its 5th birthday - a big milestone for a small company! Over those five years, the engineers at amazee.io have worked tirelessly to create the best hosting platform possible for our customers - and the result is Lagoon, our open-source build and deployment system. How did we go from creating a hosting platform for Drupal to being in the process of donating Lagoon to the Cloud Native Computing Foundation? I’ll walk you through the journey we took from creating something for ourselves that led to continuous development and improvement, and eventually the decision to give it away, and why we’re so passionate about open source.
